True... but... on closer inspection it looks like 2 PVC pipes in the bottom (likely water) and a steel braided line near the top is common for a flexible shower head.
Additionally, the only controls look like on the water line (flow rate?) and on the center of the box (cool and max - heating current?)
Finally, the decal on the uppoer right "Electric Home Shower" makes me think it is for shower heat & possibly pressure...
So either an inline water heater OR heater and pump...

maybe based board or radiator heating? Or it could be for the shower as it would need to be larger than the one under the sink.
The angle of the photograph makes it difficult to see, but this device is considerably thinner than the water heater found under our kitchen sink.
